This Policy explains how BrasilAstral ("we", "us") collects, uses, stores and protects your personal data. It is designed to comply with the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA (CCPA/CPRA). By using brasilastral.com, you agree to these practices.
1. Who we are (Data Controller)
BrasilAstral is the controller responsible for your personal data. For any privacy matter, including exercising your rights, contact our data protection contact at br@brasilastral.com.
2. Data we collect

We do not intentionally collect special-category (sensitive) data. Birth data is used solely for the astronomical calculation of your chart.
3. How we use data and legal bases (GDPR Art. 6)
- Calculate and deliver your chart — performance of the service you requested (contract).
- Send your chart and communications by email — based on your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
- Maintain your account and saved charts — performance of the service.
- Security, fraud prevention and improving the site — legitimate interests.
- Analytics and advertising — based on your consent for non-essential cookies (Google Analytics and Google AdSense).
4. Who we share with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with processors that make the service possible, acting on our behalf:
- Supabase — database and authentication.
- Hostinger — website hosting.
- Resend — sending the emails with your chart.
- Google — Google sign-in, Google Analytics (metrics) and Google AdSense (ads).
5. International transfers
Some of these providers may store data outside your country (including in the United States). Where required, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in (essential), measure audience (Google Analytics) and serve ads (Google AdSense). Non-essential cookies are set only after you consent through our cookie banner. In the EU/UK, non-essential cookies remain disabled until you accept. You can change your choice by clearing cookies in your browser.
7. Your GDPR rights
If you are in the EU/UK, you have the right to: access, rectification, erasure ("right to be forgotten"), restriction of processing, data portability, objection to processing, and withdrawal of consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
8. Your California rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to: know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect; access and delete it; correct inaccurate information; and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond the cookie choices you make here. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
9. How to exercise your rights
Email br@brasilastral.com. If you have an account, you can also delete your account and all your data directly from the My account page.
10. Retention
We keep your data while your account exists or while needed for the purposes above. Email leads are kept until you unsubscribe. After that, data is deleted or anonymized, unless a legal retention obligation applies.
11. Children
The service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date reflects the current version. Material changes will be announced on the site.
